What is geothermal heating and cooling?

There are two types of systems that can be used:

A closed-loop system- utilizes a loop that is below ground either vertically or horizontally to heat your home. A solution of water and nontoxic anti-freeze (ethanol), loop that is buried in the earth,  and is continuously circulated by a very low wattage pump.

An open-looped system uses pumped ground water available heat energy from the earth or transferred to the earth. This system is used when an

Geothermal not only heats the home but also in the summer the unit converts to turning the warm air into cold and doubles as an air conditioner.

The role of the well water is merely to create a mild beginning temperature for the heat pump, so it can operate efficiently.

RADIANT FLOOR HEAT – WIRSBO
What is Radiant floor heat?

Radiant floor heat is a unique, efficient and cost-effective alternative to forced-air heating. Wirsbo radiant floors radiate heat from the floor throughout your home or in individual rooms, providing a comfortable, even heat. The heat is delivered at the floor level warming people, furniture and other surfaces, not just the air. Wirsbo systems don’t disperse allergens and pollutants into the air.

MR. SLIM DUCTLESS HEATING – Mitsubishi Electric
What is ductless heating and cooling?

Ductless heating and cooling uses an indoor unit and an outdoor unit with refrigerant lines connecting them. The outdoor unit cycles refrigerant through the lines to and from the indoor unit, where the air is conditioned and distributed to rooms. In the winter it runs in reverse to heat.
